WORK-BASED LEARNING
WORK-BASED LEARNING gives students the opportunity to develop employability and technical skills that support success in careers and postsecondary education while earning high school credit. Work experiences are offered through community partnerships. Work-based learning experiences include on-the-job training, internships and community volunteering.
At John Wilson Academy, we believe in providing our students with real-world experiences that complement their academic studies. Our Work-Based Learning program is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application in the workforce.

These experiences not only enhance our students' resumes but also provide them with valuable insights into their chosen career paths, helping them make informed decisions about their future education and career goals.

Explore different careers, all while building skills and obtaining valuable work experience. Opportunities can be paid and unpaid.
At John Wilson Academy, we offer on-the-job training opportunities that allow students to gain firsthand experience in various professional fields. These experiences help students develop practical skills, understand workplace dynamics, and make informed career decisions.

INTERNSHIPS
Combine classroom knowledge and personal interests with practical application and skill development in a professional setting in the community
Our internship program connects students with local businesses and organizations, providing them with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings. These experiences are tailored to align with students' interests and career aspirations, offering invaluable insights into potential career paths.

VOLUNTEERING
Build upon strengths and interests, gain experience and enhance skills by volunteering and fulfilling needs in the community
